Discussion and recommendations (important guideline : KISS [Keep It Simple, Stupid]) : Discussion about the definition of active learning. In Germany it is called ‚Discovery Learning“.

- Importance of reacting to how they feel and their expression.

- Inclusion of the artist to develop workshops, get them to develop ideas. Take art outside of the gallery in public spaces or bring the public to the gallery to discuss.

- Importance of self-critical art and thinking.

- There is less money for the arts, we need more.

- Need for stimulation and creation.

- Could active learning be included into schools ?

- Could optical art be used to stimulate view points and interpret the world differently ?

- Doesn’t have to be in the gallery.

- Active methods – Avignon Festival. Benjamin’s project for workshops working with theatre creating their own choreography.

- Long term projects, enable to develop projects rather than short workshops.

- The more you see the more you understand.

- Learning by doing and learning by access.
