Open learning generations : closing the gap from Generation Y to the mature lifelong learners" Porto, 6-9 /06/2012.

In the context of the European Year of Active Ageing and Solidarity between Generations, the EDEN network organise the conference on the topic "Open learning generations : closing the gap from Generation Y to the mature lifelong learners", in Porto, 6-9 June 2012.

The conference will provide a forum for exploring the key questions of learning methodology and technology focusing on the “Open learning generations”, the contexts of socially significant target groups : junior and senior e-learners, their learning cultures, technology use patterns, and discuss new approaches in pedagogy and andragogy that respond to them.

During this conference, the European Commission (DG Education and Culture) and the Executive Agency Education, Audiovisual and Culture will organise a 3-hour workshop, on the 8th of June, on the theme " Intergenerational learning and ICT : policy and practice" . This session will include a presentation of the European policy context and of 4 projects funded through the Grundtvig programme, followed by a debate on the topic.
