This conference is a great opportunity to meet your peer colleagues, broaden your knowledge on the conference theme, learn and share experiences.

History is most visible in the public eye when it comes to commemoration sites, days of remembrance and controversies related to how one deals with legacies of memory. States, as well as various groups of people, tend to stress the importance of public remembrance as a token of respect to victims, but also as lessons for the future. How do these issues enter the process of History, Heritage and Citizenship Education ?

The event is registered in the European Union Lifelong Learning Programme catalogue and participants from one of 27 EU countries, EU candidate countries, and EU EEA (Norway, Switzerland, Iceland) are eligible to apply for either Comenius (Secondary Education) or Grundtvig (Adult Education) grants. These grants cover the conference and travel costs of conference participants. Use one of the corresponding seminar reference numbers to apply for these grants via your National Agency.
